Privacy Notice

Licorice By Pryter ("we", "us") respects your personal data and handles it in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This notice explains what we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you place an order or create an account, we collect:
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
- Delivery details — your shipping address.
- Order details — the products you buy, order references and order history.
- Account details — your email and a securely hashed password, if you create an account.
Payment is handled entirely by CHIP, our payment provider. Your card details are entered on CHIP's secure checkout — we never see or store them.
Why we collect it
- To process and deliver your orders, and to send you order confirmations and receipts.
- To respond when you contact us about an order.
- To operate your account, if you choose to create one.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we won't send you marketing you haven't asked for.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the partners needed to fulfil your order:
- CHIP — to process your payment securely.
- Courier partners — your name, address and phone number, so your order can reach you.
Each partner handles your data under its own privacy obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as Malaysian tax and accounting law requires, and account details for as long as your account stays active. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights under the PDPA
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Ask for access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Withdraw your consent to our processing, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Keeping your data safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections across the store and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.
