For our German founder, liquorice was never simply black candy. It was soft, salty,
sweet, intense and endlessly varied. In Malaysia, that full experience remained largely
undiscovered — so Pryter was created to bridge those worlds.
Many "liquorice" sweets rely on anise instead of the root itself. Ours begin with real
liquorice extract, slow-cooked in small batches, and every pack declares exactly what is
